Just picked up a 2016 without camera and thinking I might like one. Is it possible to do OEM?

No answers for you but I will watch your thread. I'd rather use factory parts to add this functionality to my car but I haven't seen any evidence that anyone has been successful so far.

The most intriguing and factory-like option I've see so far is this:

After several months of research and reading others experiences, I'm leaning towards this package:

https://navtv.com/products/NTV-KIT375/pcm31-xg-cam.html

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00P914PMY/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I1BI0ODB3G44LI&colid=1BLCJX61A9V0Q&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00P914PMY/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I1BI0ODB3G44LI&colid=1BLCJX61A9V0Q&psc=1

One feature of the Nav-TV unit is it allows me to add a front camera at a later date, if needed. Also, it doesn't require a trip to the Dealer/Indy to have the PCM coded for use.

Of course, I would definitely consider an OEM kit if it ever became available.

I did something like this, but I got the interface and rest of the parts from sonix!

I've got the Pearl Vision rear camera which works great, however some guys have had difficulty with it.
I'd definitely cheque out Maxspeed motorsports set up on the rear camera system. Do a search on Rennlist.
It's an OEM set-up that they figured out to "retrofit" PCM so back up camera appears on screen. NavTV products are also good, I've used their stuff before.

Thanks all for replays, but i will not go with aftermarket products like maxspeed as there is no way to use OEM camera with them.
I am still looking for the info and i will do OEM camera retrofit.
If someone has info related OEM camera, please let me know.

I have also find some interesting harness (right), need help to identify code:

It looks like we need this part and we ready to go!

Best of luck. Keep us posted as many of us are interested in this potential OEM upgrade.

Have you located the part number for the license plate light/camera holder? That can't possibly be one of the $10 parts you identified by part number above.

I am buying those harness it is custom made to work with OEM camera and PCM 3.1 + you need coding to active camera.
p.s no need any extra video modules just OEM camera, harness, coding = joy!

Those are camera holders, you need all of them:
Holder 1: 981-642-222-00
Holder 2: 991-505-899-00-1e0
Holder 3: 991-505-901-00

Also you need to cut hole or get bumper with camera hole.

Found a guy in thailand who are building those OEM harness.
I will get them next week and let you know how it goes and how much it cost me in total.

Which software version of pcm3.1 is needed? My pcm3.1 can’t go beyond 3.43 and all of the nice camera mods require 4.xx or whatever. Very incredibly frustrating since a newer pcm3.1 cost $4k.

This is a good read, and might shed some light as to whether an additional module "may" be needed or not........
