Default Boxster Spyder Gulf Blue with Pepita

Hi everyone,
I am a french rennlist follower. I spend a great amount of time reading forums and i enjoy a lot.
I ordered last july a boxster spyder gulf blue with P11 bucket seats and pepita. I went to the factory last july to meet with Dominic Mayer who was of a great help customising my car at Porsche exclusive. Really unique and great experience. I also ordered side stickers and the table book in order to get some memories of my car at the factory.
My next target now is to order an orange gulf 991 R. I am pushing hard to get one and I am confident that it Will work.
The two cars together Will be a real dream

Sounds like a fantastic build. Dying to see the pepita seats.
Good luck with the 991R that will be quite the combo

On the picture that Porsche gave me there was not the light P11 bucket seat available as the side stickers
I finally took off the white wheels and side mirrors and Kept them standard
Inside i will get also gulf blue and full leather with argent stitching
I chose everything possible in leather or alcantara
This car Will be unique
I hope that We CAN launch a worldwide website with VIN number as the one existing on the 360 challenge stradale www.challenge-stradale.com

I've got the houndstooth seats in my '71 914 which I've had since new. When my PTS Spyder in Mexico blue arrives in March (with LWB's) I'm going to see if someone can make me matching seat inserts... love the look in the special versions of the 911.

If you don't mind the question, are you on the 918 VIP list?.. i'm interested because for most people getting the 911R is a bit of an impossible quest.. at least here in the U.S.. Is it easier in Europe somehow or same as here where you have to basically have your feet washed by the Pope before you're able to get Pepita seats... let alone the 911R?

Targa75, do you have any specific information to suggest PTS will be available for the 911R? Thanks in advance, and great job with the Spyder!

Yes, I am interested in that question too.
A number of our 'insiders' have said that
PAG will NOT allow PTS on the Limited
Edition 911R according to their so-called
well-placed Porsche factory sources.

Also what is the option # & cost in Euros
for the pepita/houndstooth inserts on the
seats? Or was it a CXX special approval?
Even if CXX, what did it cost?

Congratulations on your special custom
order!

Hello, I am unfortunately not a 918 owner. As for the PTS of the 991 R I do not have any specific information but with Porsche you must know that almost everything is possible. You just need to ask to the right person. If you have the chance to order a R or any car and you want something really specific I can only advise you to book directly an appointment with one of the exclusive advisor at the factory, jump in a plane and buid your car directly with them. Dealerships do not have the relevant training and infos. Yes indeed it was CXX options. I do not have yet the specific price for each option but I have been told that for the pepita, sticker and interior in gulf blue (baguettes) it will cost arounf 8000 EUR VAT included. So my final price with all options and VAT should be around 110 K EUR + 1000 EUR for the table book. I had to order the delivery at the factory as well to be able to get the book. in France there should be around 60 Boxster Spyder and we are already 10 PTS recorded (viper, 3 gulf blue, 1 Voodoo, 2 Orange Gulf, 1 lichtgrun, 1 Riviera)

Thanks Targa75 for the info! You clearly know your way around a new Pcar build! Very helpful insights on how to go about getting special consideration. I wish the west coast of Canada was a little closer to Zuffenhausen to be able to hop on a plane to build a car with the specialists there like you've done and advised. I'm sure that would be a cool experience. Can you divulge whom you specifically worked with to build your car? (If you prefer not to post that publicly, would you be willing to PM it to me?) I wonder if Barbara, Melissa, Florian, or others stateside have the same latitude to offer these kinds of CXX options. In my very limited experience I suspect they might be able to do so--I was able to get the yellow 12 o'clock steering wheel marker stripe on my 991 GT3 with Melissa's assistance, for example. Out of curiosity, can I ask if there were other options you had considered? Were there any things you requested that were turned down? Finally, I'm very interested to hear that you think Porsche might be willing to offer PTS on even special edition models. I didn't believe this was possible on the Club Sport (not that you'd want anything other than that spectacular grey anyway), for instance, but perhaps there is precedent in other similar models (I'm not sure??). I sure hope that it might be done by at least a few lucky customers! Merci beaucoup!

Hi, my advisor was Dominic Mayer. He is great. I was with a friend of mine who ordered a 991 GT3 RS and we did it together. I asked for a blue top but only black was available. I know that it is possible for example to get the baggage trunk in full leather. I saw it on a car at the factory. Almost everything is possible if you are willing to pay and wait.
I also saw some crazy gt3 RS with different colors and stickers.
The main difficulty in fact is to be on the right window for PTS and be able to get an appointment. I will never buy another car without being able to have access to it. I believe next window should open in april next year. It can close quiet quickly. it depends of the demand.

Interesting that you were not able to get the colored roof... I thought that with enough connections that was possible. There is definitely a Spyder in Europe with the garnet red roof, I'm looking for the pic at the moment and can't find it.
