Wheels and Tires for a Cayman 718 S
Just picked up my first Porsche a few days ago. Absolutely love this car. I'm looking to get some wheels/tires and lowering the car a little. I'm thinking of lowering the car with the H&R lowering springs.
In terms of wheels and tires, this is what I had in mind after some research online.
Front: 20 x 9 with a +53 offset wrapped with 255/30/20 tires.
Rear: 20 x 10.5 with a +48 offset wrapped with 295/30/20 tires.
I would probably end up running about -1.5 degrees of camber in the front and -1.8 degrees in the back.
Any thoughts on if there would be rubbing with aggressive canyons and occasional track usage? Are the tire sizes optimal and is there room to go more aggressive on the offsets?
Here are pics of my go kart

Do you have pics by any chance of how far inward the wheel is from the fender with the +47? I’m trying to push the wheel out as much as possible without rubbing on the fender.

i ended up going with a set niche forged wheels.
Front: 19x8.5 +48 with 255/35/19 re71r
Rear: 19x10 +38 with 285/35/19 re71r
Selling the car so took the wheels off yesterday. Going to clean them, take pics and list them for sale.

Hiw is much you selling for? Send me PM... I have the same car to the color and wheels, and in the market.

How did you decide or determine those offsets and tire size? Front offset and tire width seems to make up for wider wheel, but rear wheel is same as OEM size. Why wider tire.. Doesn’t that cause more rounded vs flat tire footprint? Is less offset intended to widen and go flush with fender?
OEM widths are 235/265 (regardless of 18,19 or 20), and OEM wheel widths are 8" and 10" or 8.5" and 10.5".
235/40/19 = 8-9.5" rim
265/40/19 = 9-10.5" rim
Why Porsche seemed to go narrow on the front wheel width and wide on the rear, IDK. 265-235 = 30 mm more width, but 2" more rim width is 51 mm!!!
255/35/19 = 8.5-10" rim so the narrowest rim for proper fitment, which is just like Porsche does with their 235/40/19 on a 8" rim
285/35/19 = 9.5-11" rim so a 10" rim is somewhere in the middle of acceptable rim widths
