911T?
Any 981 Spyder owners tempted by this car, maybe not as a replacement, but as an addition? Or is it repetitive and would you let it sit?

I spec'd one out the other day and unless it came with the 4.0 I just wasn't overly excited. Yes its got a MT and can spec it with the LWBS and rear-wheel steering etc... but with out a snotty 4.0 I just don't know. I think for the money ($167K CND) I'm more swayed to a 997.2 GT3 ($150K CND). Anyone else?

And serious reality check here guys - does it get really any better than a Spyder for the money? I looked at a 997.2 GT3 RS and drove the pants off her and loved it but concluded that if I drove it more it would bite by leg off and my Gen-1 Spyder was about 90% of the driving experience (seriously IMO, maybe even 95%?) for the kind of driving that I do. Just sayin'...

In reality the T is similar in many ways to the GTS, it provides the buyer with a group of options that would be desireable if you’re not interested in bells and whistles.
I guess it has its place in the lineup but I do wish that Porsche would instead use their resources to figure out how to make their cars smaller and lighter.
To me the Spyder/GT4 is the smaller/lighter Sports car and I think with time people will realize it is a closer match to what the 911 used to be.

Looking at the specs on this car I don’t get the value, and would not take it over a Spyder. Also I would not add it as a supplementary car as they do too many of the same things and the Spyder is better in a class of its own. I would add a GT3 to the Spyder as they are two different cars I enjoyed that combo for awhile. Sold the RS for the year 458 because I wanted a V8 NA Ferrari boyhood dream, and its amazing. I could have traded the Spyder, but I let go of the RS which are easier to get vs the Spyder. Guys hold on to your Spyders ......a birdie at Porsche told me so take it for what it’s worth. Merry a Christmas.

Yeah, I don't know......I hear you, but I don't think I'll be able to drive the GT3 on suitable roads enough to really enjoy it......starting to think more everyday type cars are more fun. What fun will it be to commute 50 miles each direction on the highway, straight shot, with a GT3? Will feel like wasted miles, im afraid, and will end up not driving it, rather than put on wasted miles and decreasing value for no reason......which brings me back to thinking a more streetable car is more fun as a semi DD. Spyder is fun. GT500 is fun. Jeep is fun. GT3...hmmmmm, have my doubts.

Three Wheelin'
911 T is a wasted opportunity! I had high expectations; now, I am disappointed. According "evo", the final drive ratio is same as C2 S; and, they found the gears still tall!! One of the key selling points of the T was close ratio gearing for better street-driving. However, Porsche did a half-*** job either willfully or by incompetence, or both! It also got that silly 7-speed MT! It is a pointless noise and yet another fragment of the cash cow. I wouldn't touch it! For a sporting 911, it needs to be either a GT3 or 997 gen. GT3's limits are probably too high for the streets. I would still go for it for that engine, sweet-shifting MT and 9k soundtrack!! And, rev the hell out of it all day long!
