You might ping CAlexio, as I think he at least ran wider, stickier tires on his Spyder, though I believe with stock wheels. Obviously the set up you describe is going to get you a lot more grip and a loss of some or all of the ability to spin up the rears a bit.

Porsche dealer says rims will not work, but I thought there was a thread (or several) where someone put GT4 rims on a Spyder...cannot find it. You might PM the OP of the thread and see what he wound up with, BTW he is a Very good driver.
