Default 5500 rpm hesitation

Anyone had a hesitation around 5500 rpms when accelerating full throttle? The hesitation is more like the motor cuts off for a second and comes back. Runs fine after it happens and I don't get any fault codes. It's doesn't do it every time it hit 5500. The first time it occurred was 2 months ago and only did it once. Then it happened 3 times the other day at the track in one session, and has not done it again since.

Check the codes, in general it's either spark or fuel delivery.

Could it possibly be fuel starvation? Low fuel level, coming out of a hard corner? I experienced this in my old modified Miata that I autocrossed in the SCCA events where I ran with absolutely the minimum amount of fuel to save weight.

Yep, bone stock. I have a cReader but it only monitors it won't data log. I guess i will wait till it happens consistently, then have the dealership figure it out.

Just use a bluetooth OBDII reader and a decent phone app such as Torque. That is how I could tell which plug gave out at the track this year, the $15 phone app.

Good idea! Torque Pro is an Android app, know of a good one for iPhone?
