Thanks everyone! And yes, it was me driving on Westchester Parkway next to LAX. My camera wasn't on the best video quality setting for that particular shot so later on I changed it, but even after 2 hours of trying again, I wasn't able to recreate the timing.

I didn't care for the letters though. I didn't get what it said. Yes, I could pause or rewind, but I assume that, being a video, you are expected to watch it the way it was produced.

Would have liked more engine noise as well, but understand your limitation.

Overall, I would give it an A-.
An "A-"?! That's much higher praise than I've been getting elsewhere. Then again it's easy to criticize behind your keyboard without knowing what it takes to make one of these.

My original script was a "night on the town" where I'd show the car like I did, then escort her to it, then do spirited driving at night, go through the tunnel, etc. and then back home. Adding the daytime footage didn't make sense for some and I can see their point. I'd love to get off-camera footage of me going through that tunnel again but there's nowhere safe for anyone to stand.

The letters did go across too fast so that's my fault there. My intention was to mimic a typewriter spelling it out, but my software didn't allow me to create that effect and I was limited to showing letters or words 1 by 1. In any case, it said "SAVE THE MANUAL."

In the end I learned a lot on this and will likely make another one, but will focus on the car and its glorious noise a lot more.

Super cool video, kiznarsh! One of the best I have seen from individuals (I also don't see very many either). Quality of production and editing are close to one might expect form Porsche! Of course, anything can be (and, should be) improved. I echo comments about more engine/exhaust music and less extraneous music. Oh, and, keep the girl! :-) Would love to see more!

Very nice! I used to play around with making videos and so I think I have some sense of how technically difficult and time-consuming achieving something like this is... very.

Beyond all that, it's just cool to see someone who loves their car this much. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks folks! I've already started writing a script for a 2nd one. I need better microphones to properly capture the sound from the engine & exhaust.

In the meantime I was going through photos and remembered I took some "behind the scene" shots and thought I'd share to give a little more insight.

Really nice. My only suggestions would be...

Pan from Left to Right when you're shooting words. (The Porsche on the rear of the car)
Shoot in 24fps.

Thanks! Now that you mentioned it, I'm trying to remember why I didn't pan from left to right...it definitely makes more sense.

You recommending 24 fps for the cinematic look? Seems to be quite the topic of discussion.

Yes, I know it’s very subjective. I’m just not used to the Mexican soap-opera / home video look yet. I prefer 24fps
