Default Installing new front lips on 987.2 - should I be having these problems?

Finally got around to installing the new front lips I purchased and it is turning into a royal PITA. The two pre-drilled bumper holes on the front and side of the bumper fit the pins molded into the new lip, and the bottom hole patterns almost line up, but not quite.

The pre-drilled holes around 3/4" off. No matter how I am trying to bend or tweak it, they just don't want to line up.

Has anyone had this issue before? Thoughts?

Okay - I think I figured it out. Basically the pins on the underside of the car get put in first, then the lip is moved upward so the molded pins slide at an upward angle into the bumper. Putting the molden pins in first makes it rest too high. Seems relatively secure now.

By chance have you taken a couple of pics of the lips and the bumper?

I did not, but it went into place pretty well when I started with the underside pins first.
