I would guess it goes: Switchpath-closed < touring version < Switchpath-open < track version as far as the relative volume. Is that correct?

Is there any performance gain/effect from having the switchpath open as opposed to closed?
Negative on dB readings. What I would record here in our facility or outside will differ than what is read at a track station.

Yes to your volume sequence.

No performance difference as the resonator on the SwitchPath™ configuration is straight-through.

Touring Edition is my favorite for this platform.

Useful insight. Where would the PSE-open fit in that sequence?

Touring is by no means super quiet, rather we designed it to ensure there was no in-cabin drone as we do not accept drone. With that said, I would guesstimate PSE open would be in-between Touring and SwitchPath™ (open).

Great. Thanks. I’ll rewatch those videos with this in mind.

Thanks =)

Congrats & welcome! Gorgeous line-up

One of my favorites for the 718 is our Supercup Turboback. Available in either a Catbypass or HJS 200 Cell Sport Cat option, our Supercup exhaust picks up an additioanl +10whp/13ft-lbs at 4,000 RPM (Sport Cat option).

Fabspeed's Supercup Turboback Exhaust System for the 718 Boxster/Cayman is the ultimate solution for performance, with 3" mandrel bent tubing to reduce turbo lag and 36lbs / 16.4kg of weight while offering an invigorating increase in turbo sound and boxer rumble.

Featuring fully polished T304L stainless steel, beautifully welded together and finished off with hand made T304L single-wall stainless steel tips or premium carbon fiber shrouded tips which fit the rear bumper of the 718 like a finely tailored suit. Also includes Fabspeed's Limited Lifetime Warranty.

We have several options available to further enhance your 718 driving experience:

I have to say that I'm not a big fan of the 718 for various reasons, one being the sound (not a big fan of turbo 4s in any car, not just the Porsche), but that exhaust is the best that I've ever heard a 718. Bravo, that really sounds pretty darn good, not quite a flat 6 but pretty darn good nonetheless.

That sounds very nice. I assume, from all the pops and farts that it is in Sport mode.
What does normal mode sound like?

I remember driving that exact car for the first time and it took me by surprise how nicely the character of the car changed.

Ha! That's a belly laugh. I got one of your Touring exhausts for my Audi S5 earlier this year and it was drone city. After re-sealing the exhaust twice and two weeks of drone head splitting I tried to return it under the AWE "sound guarantee". AWE would not fully honor the guarantee instead emailing me some fine print. Further, the AWE rep told me you really can't make a "drone free" aftermarket exhaust anyway......belly laugh number 2. I kept the email string for whenever I need a giggle.

OP, try Fabspeed. I've had good luck with them through the years.

I am having the same dilemma regarding upgrading my exhaust on a 718 GTS. I decided on Fabspeed. I will have the Sport Cat installed and maybe the exhaust tips. I like the ability to use the exhaust switch on the center pedestal. Though, at that price, I can have the turbo back exhaust and reduce 36 lbs of weight. I would lose the functionality of the exhaust switch though.
