Cayman S 981 Private party $48k?
I posted earlier about the 987/981: leaning toward the 981 at this time. I found a CS, 2014 with 42k miles, manual, and all the performance options I am looking for. It was an $86k build originally. One owner, and the buyer wants $48k for it. Reasonable price? I don't think it is a steal, but I also don't want to overpay.
If the car matches the description, it is a 9/10 easily, with all maintenance records.
Caymans and Boxsters are pretty hard to value this time of year, as it seems winter really hits values hard. Thanks in advance for any advice

Concur. Almost no 981 CS's trade below $50k. $86k without the $3k+ PDK must be a helluva build.

That makes me feel better. I've been wondering about resale lately now that I'm 5 yrs in.
My '13 Boxster S has just over 11k miles (hardly get to drive) and was nearly 97k sticker... Does have PDK. Pretty much a unicorn with many options and AF goodies like Cargraphic headers, IPD and FVD tune. No rain either. Hopefully I can get a decent PP value when I am ready to unload...

^If I don't have headers and stuff by the time you let that car go I'd be interested in some parts. I'm in TN as well, about 4 hours from you. Nice looking car.

Thanks! I was one of the first in the US to have the headers. Dealt with Cargraphics very early on after I ordered my car from JPA Nashville in the spring of '12. Following that delivery, I was probably one of a half dozen or so that got the IPD plenum and 997 gt3 TB. Both were installed at the same time and I had to wait nearly 3yrs for the reflash, but all three mods make this a very quick car!

My '14 CS with an $88k build (PDK/PSE/Sport Techno/PTV) plus the X73 suspension added afterwards with 9k miles on it brought $56k about a year ago.

I bought a small company 9 years ago for $55k. My accountant told me last month that its current value is $2MM. Maybe I should have bought a Porsche.

I bought a Porsche for the pleasure of driving it, but I understand not everyone has the same goals as I. Nonetheless, unless one is extremely lucky, the chances of a vehicle appreciating is less than 1:100 and most probably less than 1:1000.
