New 987.2 2.9 boxster owner
Hows everybody doing?
I decided to jump the gun and bought myself 987.2 2.9 Boxster seven months ago This is my first porsche, having been a mercedes enthusiast my whole life (started with my dad). Started with a benz w124 sold that after college got myself a w202(c class) sold it, got myself a 190e 2.3 16v which i had to sell (highly regret) due to much needed funds for my business. Got a clk430 had that for 6months sold it was biking to work for a month trying to find a clean 07 bs. Ended up with this 2011 2.9 boxster and loving every single minute in the paddock . A couple personalization Ive done since ownership is painted the side vents, front bumper slits black, free exhaust mod, changed to 19’ lobsters and lowered the ride height with h&r springs. Couple mods i plan to do in the future change to 3.5-4inch dual exhaust tip, exhaust system to make her scream a little more, painting the rims gunmetal. Here are a couple pictures. Enjoy

Great looking car, Josh. Glad to hear your first Porsche ownership experience has been a good one seven months in. Love the 19's -- one of my favorite wheels. Continued good luck with your mods. Enjoy!

Nice ride! I love my 2.9L Cayman. Get yourself some sport headers to replace the dual catted stock ones. The car will be transformed. I am curious what is this "free exhaust mod" you mention?

@olegd There is a connecting pipe just above the muffler tip you loosen it and adjust it to the farthest right or left until its fully open. Tighten the clamp and you have yourself a louder exhaust. What brand sport headers did you install? How much hp gains do you get from it?

I got the long tube 200-cell cat street headers by Soul Performance. They use top-of-the-line German made HJS cats. Made my car sound better and pull harder. I haven't done any dyno runs to measure the gains but definitely a huge improvement over stock.
