You mean the engine that's not in production anymore? You think they'll keep making an old engine for just two low volume models when they're already producing a better performing 4.0? Seems like that would be less likely.
What are they putting in the 991TT? Isn't that just a blown version of the 9A1 3.8?
Right -- that engine is still in production, and as you say, it must be pretty limited.
They may be looking for another place to use it.
I'll bet every one of those TT motors are already in inventory sitting on a shelf. But who knows. Doesn't make a lot of sense producing two different motors long term, particularly given the new one is higher performing and expected to be more reliable.
