The Cayman R brochure states Macadamia Metallic was a standard color and Amethyst Metallic was a special order color on the Cayman R but I cannot find any photos except the one below.

Does anyone have a photo of an R wearing either of these colors?

Also I am shopping for a Cayman R or Spyder so if you know of any for sale, please PM me. Thank you

It saddens me more cars weren't speccd like this. If I had the opportunity to spec mine it would be in one of these colors.

While not an R it is an S in Macadamia. It's currently for sale on Car Gurus.


When I was shopping for a 996 I asked why the more "exciting" colors like guards red or speed yellow weren't more prevalent and the answers boiled down to silver, black and grey cars are easier to sell. It seems even 911 owners want safer colors. Go figure.
