Climate control

So there I was cleaning the inside of my climate control to fix some sticky buttons, and wouldn’t ya know I lost one of the actuator pins from the backside of the button. Little black plastic peg with rounded head. Does anyone know what the actual name of this part is.? Possible to get at dealer maybe? Appreciate any help

PET only shows the entire control unit (Which is Part # 991 653 201 08 DML), but no exploded diagrams with small parts like buttons or pins. You're probably going to have to consult with an experienced parts advisor or technician. I do know that better parts advisors and technicians often hold on to little pieces like that for "just in case" purposes. Let us know what happens.

It’s that little guy there lol. I’m headed to dealer now. I appreciate the reply. I keep little things “just in case” as well so I’m hoping you’re right and one of the folks there have that misc. drawer 👍🏻

Well I struck out at LD. Apparently Porsche doesn’t break down that entire climate control unit into smaller parts. I spoke to a buddy who has a 3D printer and we’re going to give that a shot 🤞🏻

Solution!! My friend was able to 3D print the part and it works flawlessly!! Case of beer vs. a new 1500$ climate control unit. FTW
