Default Gates Kevlar Racing Timing Belt

Anyone here use one of these for piece of mind?

Extra noise or other issues?

$86 at Lindsey Racing My searches for info on these has come up fairly short.

Sure its 5-6 times the cost of a Gates or Conti but compared to the other WYIT stuff we regularly do this seems like a no brainer given whats at stake.

I don't see any value in using this belt when the BS belt is what often starts the implosion. An aftermarket Gates belt will last you the 4-5yrs before you would need to swap the BS belt. Can easily be found for $30 online.

I ran a Kevlar belt on my 88 944 a few years ago and I wouldn't do it again. No issues whatsoever with the belt but like Raj says, I wound up replacing it at the 48 month mark because I couldn't imagine running it for longer. I don't think it's worth the investment when a Conti belt is 1/3 of the price and is known to be very robust.
