Default 17" Cup 1 vs Cup 2

My eyes can't sort this out. Can somebody post pix of both, explain the difference and discuss cost/availability comparison?

Both 17 inch.

Cup 2 less expensive and more common, at least on the used market. Don't know the various sizes.

Cup 1, (true name is "964 turbo" wheel) usually more expensive, around $700-1000 a wheel on the used market (if in good condition) Can still buy new for about the same price at sunset Porsche parts. $800-1300
Came in 7, 7.5, 8, and 9 inch. Plus magnesium which are very expensive.

I am trying to get one more 9 inch cup 1 but they are hard to come by under 800 dollars. I got the first three for anywhere from 80 dollars to 400 but I had to refinish them because they were pretty rough condition.

Excellent and probably ends this thread. One more question. Would you say they are very similar except 1 has a flat edgy look and 2 is more rounded softer?
If a buy a car with 1's and don't want to keep them what is a fair price to ask?
Have you tried Partsheaven for your wheel? I'm a few miles away. Want me to go check it out? 17x9 Right?
Thanx

Size, condition and material will influence price.

A prime example set would bring $2.5K+ IMHO (as mentioned, a new set can be had for ~$4K).

I have not tried parts heaven. If you are out that way, yes that would be great! Thank you.
I made a low ball offer to a guy on eBay yesterday for one but I'll doubt he'll go for it.
I would buy a new one but the problem I have is that the new ones color probably wouldn't match the three I have now and I would have to repaint it. I don't want to sand down a brand new wheel.

Bill, be VERY careful of reproductions which aren't worth nearly as much. You want to see the digits reflecting the wheel offset and width on both sides of the valve stems. Those are OEM wheels. the cup1s are worth twice what the cup2 are so if you can find a set grap them, sell them, get the correct cup2s and pocket a lot of money. IMHO a perfect set of CUp2s is worth about $750 and Cup1s $1500.

Just for info, Cup 1 also came in 9,5" in the rear on the 964 Cup cars. Very rare though.

Personally I think Cup 1 looks better on the 968.

A perfect set of Cup2's in correct 968 offset would be at least $1000-1200. $750 is for 993 offset wheels.

Looking at 93 Red coupe owned by an excellent tuneup shop who did giant service on the car including belts, pump, rollers, etc.
Owner died. They are selling to recoup and pay widow.
Cup 1s, 138k and tip. Tip does not annoy me as it will be daily driver for me and mostly GF. Virtually an $1800 service was done. Paint good, interior excellent.

Weird that I'm asking this since I have bought and sold 14 in the past but what should I pay and who wants the wheels?

Partsheaven calling back about 17 x 9 single cup 1. Would you take 2 then sell one? Obviously shipping an issue?

OMG talk about OEM. The car has CR1 needing TLC. Who wants that PDQ?

If you break up the set I need one front wheel. Cliff needs a front as well!

Who needs the other two?
Opinions on how much to pay for car appreciated. I'm on my way there now.
Also, who needs CR1 that needs reconditioning? Whatever that means.
