Default FS: 95 Speed Yellow Cabrio #7.

Many of you already know this car is for sale

but I thought I would make it official here. This is an excellent top quality car. Those of you have seen it I am sure would attest to that. Breaks my heart to let this car go but life has its dramas. Asking tongue in cheek $38,000 because I am required to post a price. Given the several red cars appearing on ebay these days I don't think this is outrageous but I do think it is nuts. The car will be worth that in less than 5 years. I am sure most off you would agree to that. Anyway, I'd like to see it in a collection or with a 968 enthusiast especially if they have other interesting 968's. Willing to discuss any offer.
Apologies for the incorrect info on the license plate frame. Jeff straightened me out on this a long time ago.

Bill, you have a nice, valuable, and rare car there. On this form you will only find interested and knowledgeable 968 owners. You should just post your "real" price and then a seriously interested party will know what you want. Then you and he/she can get right to business. Good luck. Jeff

What Jeff said.

I'm most certainly biased towards SY 968 Cabs, but I think even more objective admirers believe that this car in this color is just a phenomenal combo.

Good luck with the sale!

Doesn’t it have a total loss from an insurance company on Carfax?

^ It sure does. It was posted about a year ago on this site. State Farm payed a total loss claim in 2011.

Yup, I ran the Carfax, too.

In that episode of "Today I Learned," I learned that a vehicle can have a total loss on Carfax, AND a clean title at the same time. Interesting stuff.

The right buyer will enjoy it!

FLT951,
Most of the regulars on this forum know the car, but for those that don't do you have some text, photos, an EBay ad, etc. with the particulars about the car?

It is listed on ebay. BTW, yes the car now has and always will have a clean/clear title until some unfortunate incident changes that.

Pace on ebay not up to hopes or expectations. Lead bidder new and never seen before but bidder 2 Ballstate bought my well known black cab two years ago, knows this car and wants it. He has a wife imposed bid limit but keeps trying. Others of you hit it from time to time and I appreciate the support if not your cap.

Hey, looking forward to your upcoming Parade. Are you involved in the management? Big work but fun and rewarding. I co-chaired Monterey 90.
Hows this for a Hall of Fame entry for your event? Stephanie Anderson will attend with Burt Propp.

ebay listing expires in less than 4 hours. A couple of you need to get after it. Maybe Ballstate will decide to park it next to my black cab that he bought 2 years ago.

That is a gorgeous car, I hope you get your number. I wish I had the money, I could overlook the title thing. If you dont get your number these are the things that jump out to me when and if you relist:

"Badges, we dont need no stinkin badges" I would get everything off of it that did not come from Porsche. I wish I lived in a state where I did not need a stinkin tag up front because I darn sure would take it off and the bracket. Even with two small holes that front end would look better.

Those side marker things...gone! unless of course there is a hole with wires but someone here I think said they were just stuck on.

Those black wheels look fabulous, but "I need more cowbell" I mean I would take the opportunity to put more of that beautiful SY on a nice set of Cup IIs. Hell when you sell those nice black ones you will probably have enough left over for dinner. The fact that its a Cab means you get less SY and I got a hankering for more SY!

German Flag, gone. We know were Porsche hails from.

Yellow windshield wiper aero kit, gone. Distracts from SY!

GLWTA!

John

Good advise John, and on top of that, Speed Yellow cab #7 just so happens to be a factory 17" cup2 wheel car so they'd look perfect.

Hooray! SY Cab #7 is finally sold.
$21K seems like a decent buy to me. I like 968 cabs and I like colors.
In fact I commented about a year and a half ago that I would probably pay $20-$25K for the car if I could see it and verify the condition. I've always been uncomfortable about buying anything used sight unseen.

Anyhow I hope it went to another enthusiast, and it would be nice to see it in the flesh someday.

Yes, we're looking forward to Parade in our own backyard.
Not involved in Parade management, but will be pretty busy every day with volunteer stuff.
Hope to see you, and everyone else, here in Spokane this summer!
