Need advice on top end work (well valve cover)
So I am not going as far as pulling the head, but since my variocam acutator is shot, I am going to do a few things there, 150k on the motor.
My list to replace:
Valve cover gasket $100
Timing Chain $40
Timing Pads up and lower $50
Replace cam gear cover with Rennbay cover $499, mine is warping a little.
Variocam Solenoid Actuator $400
Anything else I should replace while I am in there?
Will be starting the work next week, and ordering parts now.
Thanks!

The rein gasket 'set' includes the spark plug seals along with the rubber seals and washers for the valve cover fasteners.
I would pick up the paper gasket and oring for the solenoid. The copper crush washer for the oil tube should be added to the list. Do use loctite on acetone clean threads for the locator pins for the nylon pads.
Next to the number four exhaust runner, there is a 3mm Allen set screw for the oil restrictor. You might pick up a new oring for the restrictor piston.
