It's pretty funny that I know where Clayton, GA is...a guy who works for me lives there! I have not been there, but it's a country bumpkin town from my understanding.

It's a 94.....but has the 92/93 seats.....did some 94's come with these seats also? I can't remember.

I actually think the interior looks really good. It looks blue in the pictures, but it appears that it is actually black. If you look at the clock arms, they are a dark (not faded) orange.....I would doubt this car has spent much time in the sun based on this.
It was a '93 (has the 718 code) re-assigned to '94. I've contacted the seller but have not heard back. Looks more than 53K miles on the interior to me though

That is a nice one. Notice the carpets are actually blue in color. I believe it is factory. And the seat piping in black is also factory. That is a special one and a steal at that price.

This car (272891436411) on ebay in Danville, Ca. is a bit suspect. Seller was calling it a turbo but changed it after being called out a few times. It is an easy look for me but I've been trying to get an appointment for 8 days. Seller replies but won't make appointment. Asked for permission to discuss with my friends at Kahler's, the shop mentioned, and was ignored. Seller seems to want to avoid hands on or contact with service source. If something changes and I don't want the car I will report on it. In the meantime, BEWARE!

The cargurus Midnight Blue Coupe is now off the market. I've had my black Cab since 1995. 186k miles and counting. I guess buying a 968 every 22 years is not too bad of an addiction.

Nice and congrats! You got a nice one there and it is rare and unusual.

Thanks. Yes, he said he had multiple out of state offers but he preferred to deal with someone local (I live in Atlanta). Or maybe he felt sorry for me because my current 968 is so worn out. I plan to keep regularly driving my high mileage car and then just take this one out on special occasions.

Eyeman.....please tell the story after you get the car, it appears that it is in fantastic condition (I want to know why those partial seat covers are on the car), post some pictures and I have to know if you paid more than asking or just what he was asking? I was going to give the guy a deposit if he returned my email through cargurus, but he didn't. And I sent it Sunday and again another one Monday with a story.

Paul,
I can take a pretty good guess at the answer to this question. I also owned a 968 with the factory light grey seats. It looks fantastic but is impossible to keep clean since it so light. Getting into the car with jeans is an invitation for further problems. I'm guessing those covers are there to keep those seat bolsters looking good. Short of the old plastic seat covers of the 50s cars it may be what is needed.

Congrats Spark, that is a beauty. How is the dash pad? Any cracks or issues?

Thanks Jeff. The dash pad is great everywhere except around two of the drivers side air vents. Looks like they have slightly delaminated.

Thank you Paul. Will follow up soon with the details. I'll put it in the Cobalt vs Black thread. My Job today though is to clean off all the road and bug debris.
