Any chance you've seen this one in person? I kinda wish it would just sell so I will stop looking at it.

Malarkey

There were 150 North American 968 cabs built BEFORE this one starting in September of 1991. This car has an October build. It was definitely NOT the first one in the US. How people come up with this stuff????

Mine was before the first one. That is why I am asking so much.
Actually, there is such a story about Gene Gilpin's 83 911SC Cabrio, the very first in the USA. It actually WAS not the first, it WAS BEFORE THE FIRST. The Pano story is called "A Teutonic Fairy Tale".

I always wonder, if the mileage is so low, and you value it on that. What happened to the original wheels....

It's a mixed bag. Cars and people share some similarities one of which is, if they are used a lot they wear out but if they sit and do nothing they deteriorate. The British cars of the 70s were very bad about this. Park one for 10 years and then bring it back to life and it would puke fluids from every seal it had. Our cars were built in an era where much better technologies and products were used, so we don't tend to see such on the low mile 968s. It doesn't make it impossible, but the chances are greatly reduced.

My 92 and 93 have both yet to breach 80,000 miles. Certainly not uber low, but with the exception of the o-rings for the rear of the balance shaft housings, which will shrink on any 968 regardless of how the car is used, neither car has leaked anything except for the power steering racks which are both starting to seep and one power steering pump that I resealed. Not bad for almost 25 years and I think Jeff Coe whos odometers are, I believe, somewhere in the 30s or 40s can state the same thing.

Bear in mind that I'm referring to gaskets and seals that aren't replaced as maintenance. It is my opinion that engine front seals, water pumps and valve cover gaskets are maintenance items that are periodically replaced before they age to the point of activally leaking.

You cannot make this sh*t up...

1995 Porsche 968 Cabriolet Speed Yellow. PANIC SALE! - $35000 (hayward / castro valley)

I must sell this or one of my other 2 cars by the 13th in order to pay the IRS on the 15th.
I would never sell this car were it not for my present circumstance.
I will not be posting or sending photos nor dispensing information. The car is perfect and quite rare.
If you know what it is you will want to make an appointment to see and drive as soon as possible.
If not sold by the 13th or one of the other cars sells first this will go off the market.
I'm sorry to be so aggressive but I really don't want to sell the car. The sale, if it happens, is forced.

My problem your windfall. This is an incredible car. If not sold and paid for by the 13th the car goes off the market.
Or buy my Suzuki Samarai for $5500
Or my 01 Porsche Boxster for $9995
One has to go by the 13th.

Seen that one last year too, rare color I think as well.

Always interesting to see these cars sit for the right buyer at the sellers price https://rennlist.com/forums/968-foru...th-violet.html

Was 21k last year, so I take it back did go down.

Nice color in person I bet!
