I used to be in the same camp, thinking there we no low mileage cars around....then BAT starts auctioning cars off. If you don't get one with low miles that you want, don't worry, just wait a few days and they'll be another. I am now convinced that there are many more low mileage cars out there than you think. Heck, I have three cars and a van, plus my wife's car and I work at home. How many miles can I put on any car per year?

Sporty cruising????

What is that, when there is a lot of traffic in front of you?

That's the clone of my cab but I have the earlier seats and 17 in Cup 2 wheels. Adam's cab too is Midnight Blue with Cashmere (early seats) but with 6 speed.

Hard to tell that Seattle car is Midnight Blue in the pics. I could agree with low miles, maybe, but not "super" low miles. Seems a fair price but we've had some gems on here lately.

On the old style seats. They are much softer leather, at least in my case. And that leather definitely does not hold up as well. It would be a tough decision for me if I ever have to redo those seats of mine if I'd redo them in a stiffer leather or something very original.

That is low miles for a 20 some yr old car. Anything less than 5k miles a yr is considered low.

Good price on a low mileage slate grey convertible 6 speed. Don't know anything about the car other than it's located around the corner from me. Never seen it around though:

Default Two 968s in LA Area

I've been looking off and on for awhile and came across these two CL ads recently. Any thoughts on the asking prices? Thanks for any input. . .

Biosurfer1 and Milodub-Thanks for posting those!

When I was looking for a 968 2 months ago, I saw this one: https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sf...603278421.html on PCA website.
Contacting the seller was difficult. When I asked about a PPI, he said that one was being done. When I asked about the results, I was told "all is good". Would not share the results. When I tried to arrange for my brother who lives 80 miles away to have a look at it, seller would not meet partial way to my brother's. Then seller left country for awhile. Sort of turned me off.

So my question here on Rennlist for all very familiar with 968's. If you had a good friend looking for one, which of the three would you recommend that consider and why. Hope to turn this into a learning experience.
Thanks in advance,

Yogii

The cab in the Sacramento ad is a good price but not many useful photos.Looks like there could be issues with it...like the guards red driver door handle...cant see the condition of the interior or dash.

Both of the cars in Los Angeles were for sale last summer/fall. The one that Yogii mentioned was in Indiana at the time. I had the same communication issues with seller. The silver coupe is a nice car that I have seen in person. He has dropped the price originally asking $20k last summer.

There are MANY nice cabs for sale right now but not near the price.

If I am interested in a car I would suggest to first get the VIN from seller and see if you can get an image of the VIS at same time.Next, run a report on the car (there are cheaper alternatives to CarFax for initial info). If they cant find the VIS post a request to Jeff in the "Excellent VIN decoder" sticky thread at the very top of the 968 forum to get option info.

Go see the car and if you really like it ask for a PPI. It will cost you about $300 but well worth it.

Both of those look like great 968s that have been well cared for and the prices appear right as well. Pick which one you like better and go for it.
