Does anyone think a 968 modded like this for the tune of 400k plus the cost of a running doner, will ever sell?

It does for a 911.

Ultimated moded and changed 911.

Raj, even the 996 is a solid car value if not a good investment outright, imo.

But i'm sure there's plenty of exceptions with every Porsche car. The 968 included.

My point was, you claim that 911 people mod them to death and their values increase. Not true in most cases. In general most cars are worth more 100% stock and are likely to get more buyers interested in them. This includes 911's.

So, now that I have this car in my possession, I can report that the cup holder is from a Tesla.... ha ha. It does work!

I have some questions for the group, though. I am still in the process of obtaining the previous service records and owners manual for it. In the event these cannot be located/delivered to me,
#1 how can I get my hands on that all-important manual? I can't get the cruise control to work reliably. It did so a couple of times, and now I can't get it to work with my random combination of pushing/pulling the lever.

and

#2 Any suggestions for how to deal with the back window that is de-laminating? I found a good mechanic, I think, and he suggested that I don't drive in the rain or risk the car leaking. !!

More later, I am sure. Thanks in advance, everybody!

You can find them on eBay, in the parts section here at RL, or at your local Porsche swap. They are different depending on the year so make sure you find the correct one. The only one that is unique for your car is the maintenance manual. It would have the vehicle information sticker on page 1 and the original delivery dealership info. A cool piece of documentation. Example attached.

Kinda curious Jeff, I have two 968 manuals, one has the 968 cutaway glued in, the other is printed on the page.

Are these the two differences, or is it one is a official repro or something?

Didn't they just say in Excellence that there were only 2 of those in the country?

Yes and no, I didn't see the article yet but they made 22 cabs in F9 Amethyst and 19 coupes between 92-early 94. However, 2 people walked into the dealers post early-94 and liked the color so much they ordered it "color to sample" on a late 968. That is where the 2 comes from. The cab in the article is one of those 2.
