Default Low mile 968

Thought you all might think this one is interesting. Got dropped off on Monday for some A/C work and a few other small things. I have to say it is a new car in damn near every way.

3779 miles.

Is is now in the hands of a new owner? It has been for sale by a dealer for a year or so.

Oh yeah. That's what ahm talkin bout. very nice. Hope it was just an evac and a refill like mine. Now, the upper bolts on the AC bracket are going lose again. I'm gonna have to figure out a permanent solution to that.

Wow! That is one clean 968. Love the color inside and out. What's not to like about the cloth seats. Gorgeous car.

well, there's been some dirty dealings... the old geezer needs to be exposed – so, I will remain silent no longer. what Ernie has failed to mention is that a couple of autumns ago, he pulled the motor, dropped the tranny and put the car up on blocks. then spent the better part of a winter cleaning it from one end to the other with simple green and a toothbrush. absent from the forum a whole month as summer approached and he realized he still wasn't even halfway done. and how was he able to finish just in time to save the summer? well it's a secret. and I've probably already said too much. and there's no need to soil the man's reputation further – or kicking him when he's down.

carry on.

LOL. Heck, I wish my interior or exterior looked any where near as good as either of these 968's. ;-p Awesome!

I call BS. To get my engine to even look like a 968 block, I had to strip the whole thing down and soda blast it. Ernie's car is actually a zero mile one, and he had an odometer with actual mileage on it installed just to mess with us.

any suggestions on how to polish my V8 transmission?

the one mistake I made was not taking the shell out to be hot tanked or blasted (once Keven G. had it apart).

I guess I have a very unpleasant few days with a wire brush/steel wool/wetsanding upcoming?

getting at all the nooks and crannies is going to be full horror.
