Default 968 vs 944 DOOR SEAL (right side)

I was informed that both 968 and 944 have identical door frame.

The door seal (right side) for 968: 944.537.092.03
The door seal (right side) for 944: 944.537.092.00
This door seal is the one that surrounds the entire door. It is also knowns as door weatherstrip seal.

Has anyone put a 944 door seal on a 968 yet?

I plan on replacing my passenger door with a later 944 door. I would also like to know about the seals.

Who told you the doors were the same? They have different part numbers from Porsche 944.531.005.02 vs 944.531.005.06 for a 944/968 left side door.

968 door seals are a common upgrade for 944.

Not sure why anyone would want to fit 944 door seals on a 968.

The 968 door seal has more rubber around the top and rear edges that creates a more aerodynamic seal than the 944 has. Don't see why you couldn't use a 944 seal though.
