Long and Skinny vs. Short and Fat

Do you gentleman prefer a triple-square - xzn - cheesehead - etc, set of the long variety or stubby variety.

I have read comments that the longer ones are easier to maintain their perpendicularity and thus prevent damage to the fastener head. Are there places these longer bits would not fit, that a stubby would be preferred??

Their first use will be for removing the cams, but I will eventually be getting to the rod bearings etc.

Thanks!

The stubby ones are handy for doing all the bolts on the clutch and flywheel.

I have both and usually use the MAC s2 ones that are a bit shorter on the cheeseheads. On allens I use whatever fits the situation as I have them in long, short, and stubby.

I use whatever seems to be most appropriate for the task. Long and short, Snap-On, Cornwell, and a set of cheap Chinese.
