That actually makes perfect sense, now that I think about it. Some time ago, the hub nut unthreaded itself far enough to cause the hub to wobble, leading the rotor to grind continuously against the pads until I could get it home, exposing the caliper to who knows what kind of heat.

i believe i overheated mine as well. not going to say how. but if what Josh is experiencing ends up applying to my calipers.... and the factory isn't making new brakes, and no generic substitute is available from Brembo... and all the calipers out there are 18~20 year old crap.....

then, wtf do we do ?
