I always wonder, was it this hard in the factory to install door handles? Or was it just easier, because they had everything out, like the window mech.

Or was there a special tool.

I suppose only person that would ever know is someone in the factory that did it.

Even the workshop manual makes it look easy, but it is not... No mention of special tools, tips or tricks that I recall.

as I was trying to figure out how to dislodge the lock I removed this spring loaded end piece from and now just can't figure out how the spring goes back in. I've tried seemingly every combination and nothing works. any help or pics? I don't have a workshop manual unfortunately.

I've been struggling with getting this lever together for hours now and I feel like I'm nowhere close.

anybody have a tip, trick or tool they've used that worked for them? I can't even figure out how to see in there to tell whether the ends are aligned or not before I start to push.

This is from the 968 specific workshop manuals, for everything else they tell you to reference the 944 manuals.

The directions above, for re-attaching the handle, are all Porsche provided that I am aware.

That looks suspiciously like a dandelion digger tool. But hey, anything that helps is cool. Was almost to the point of pulling my hair out changing mine.

Bumping again so I don't forget where the instructions and parts are. Useful for anyone who's handle has broken! I imagine it's pretty common.

I just replaced the driver's handle on the Matador and followed the process.
