I think there is a Scandinavian 968 repainted in a Volvo color close to that.

Thought I would bump this up to the top again. I'm getting closer. Comments on the Viola?

If the 993 you attached is Viola, it gets my vote, looks great. Just a hint of purple. Is it metallic or gloss, can't tell?

But, at the end of the day, please don't let RL decide for you. Decide for yourself!

Looking forward to your final decision!

Take care!

I stood next to a new turbo in this color at Parade in Savannah last year for several minutes before I realized that the car was not black! The color was available in 1993 so it would be "period correct" and technically a special wishes possibility.
As far as RL deciding, I'm just looking for ideas that I may have overlooked!
Thanks,

It existed in 1993 and "could have been selected" under the special wishes program...

I think the Viloa looks great but not with a grey interior. I think it will make the interior start to look purple. If you had a black interior, I'd say go for it. The 968 I just sold today was GP WHite over Lite Grey and that looked very sharp. If your interior is Classic Grey, I think a Zermatt Silver or more modern Grey would look sharp. More vibrant choices that look good are the copper, orange, blood-orange and maybe Gulf Blue options. The great thing about 968's is that they came in a variety of wild colors that pretty much anything goes and nothing would look out of place.

1993 Pearl Viola
1993-1997 Viola

So it was "possible".

There's two schools of thought on repaints.

One is that you always repaint in the original color unless you're willing to strip the entire car to a bare shell and put it on a rotisserie.

The second is, of course, just pick the prettiest color for that particular model. In that case, it's Speed Yellow.

I vote for Riviera Blue, but I am biased.
