Congratulations. 944 is a great car. I am delighted (of course) that 9-magazine has come out so strong for the 944 & 968.
I purchased a new 944 in 1985.5 Great car. A drivers car for the street and Interstate. I put over 135,000 on the 944 as I recall. The 968 offered the package of improvements & upgrades I thought necessary for the 944. So I bought a 968. No subsequent Porsche has offered a package as compelling to me, so the improvement & upgrades went on my 968.
As 9-magazine writes, what is "needed" is a new 944. I agree, but already have a new 968!
Perhaps the two-door Panamera will be the answer - but only if the trans is in the rear!

Keep an eye on the pages of the magazine, because "Project 944" should be starting soon! I recently picked up a 1983 with manual steering for an absolute song, and I'll be going through the process of cleaning it up, updating, and modifying. The end goal is to produce a streetable/trackable/fun car for less than $3000. Considering the purchase price was $1500, it should be doable, right?

Based on the sincere and friendly tone from the publisher through his posts, and the fact that they are focusing on the older 944/968 series in their magazine, I will now become a subscriber and hope others will follow. Most of the other P-Magazines are a little boring.

There are plenty of enthusiasts for all of the magazines to share, but frankly, 9Magazine is the only one I subscribe to. There is something relevant to my interest in each new issue. Our website is getting a lot of nice articles posted every day, as well. Be sure to check it out!

Does "Project 944" come with tires? Could be a bank buster right there. I expect many on Rennlist will follow what you come up with, how to do it, and if good will then want to replicate your build.
Looking forward to "Project 944."

The digital version of the current issue of 9-Magazine appeared today in my iPad bookshelf. The current issue includes part 2 of the two part article on my Porsche 968 HMR Turbo. Hope you like the two articles.
