Post Lime Rock Labor Day Vintage Races

I'll be there on Labor Day Monday. As this is the first year that Steve Earle, who organizes the Monterrey Historics, is running the show it should be great. Any other 968 owners planning to go? If you missed the Rennsport Reunion last year, don't make the same mistake again. Check on 968.net for updates.

Hi Damian. I was just down at DeMan's and they had a customer's 968 on the dyno. I know the car, it's a very nice '95 (or '94) with the M030 suspension. The owner uses it for DE.

The car is stock (except for the safety equipment) and the dyno numbers were about identical to yours, about 177 h.p. at the rear wheels. Ciao!

Rich, that confirms my suspicion that nothing was awry with my motor. I now know that DeMan plugged in the wrong ring and pinion of 3.44, instead of 3.78. That's because the Porsche book they get that number from is incorrect! (See the 968 top speed thread).

A buddy on 968.net is picking up the Heimrath 968 Turbo S replica today, he wants to dyno it soon. We may be going back to DeMan to test it, I'll let you know. I'm considering getting a FVD chip, they have a money back guarantee-I'd put it to the test at DeMan.

Cool

Damien,

Got a reply from Reggie, they could use your car for the display. I'll give you the info tomorrow.
