Gnosis, you say "clearly" its so, but you also say "I guess" its so. Which is it? I would clearly say your guessing? Anyway, I'm sorry guys bout the "noggin" comment. Though I still find it very hard to believe that upright intake goes "nowhere". Just not Porsche's style. I will be happy to concede any point(s) to an actual photo of the underhood of those 968 T S ducts. That would "clearly" settle it for me. Doug

"I guess" is an expression.

Here's a photo of an original Turbo S. Note engine visible through closed hood. Therefore NACA duct is open to engine bay, and cannot feed cool air to the airbox.

Proof.

I believe the left hand NACA duct mates to the revised intake snorkle in factory Turbo S and RS cars. Thre right side duct sends air along the exhaust.
Perhaps someone with a Turbo S could shed further light.

Okay, heres the scoop. There was some talk about this on the 968.net board, and apparently there is a guy doing this now.

I was contacted by email by these guys, and they are currently making the naca duct hoods in FG and CF. I am awaiting word on if and when they will be making the air dams.

Well, apparently they are only making hoods right now, because there is not enough demand for the air dams.

If you want an air dam, mail them and ask, I'm sure they would make some if there was enough people asking...

I'm not making them, Chris is, I guess. They have website too, but all they have so far is the hood. www.speed-6.com

Saw the "chris" in the email address near the end of your post, assumed the "C" in CBass was for Chris, and there you have it. But I understand you're not the one making them.

Clayton.

Nah, the C is for Connor... The Bass is from a movie, long story. Actually, short story, but I'm lazy.

We should see if we can get enough people together to convince him to make a production run.

I would want one, and I know a couple others who would as well... See if you can round anyone else up...
