Clutch pedal too hard, help.
I've just tried a 968 coupe of 10.1994 with 137'000 km. The car looks in perfect conditions but the clutch pedal was very very hard (and short).
I've a 964 C4 so I'm not new to Porsche clutch pedal hardness. My 964 clutch pedal is not so hard.
Do anyone know the reason?
This is because the car need a clutch replacement?
Porsche have hydraulic clutch, so even if the clutch as to be changed the pedal is not very hard, right?
The seller told me that 968 clutch pedal is normally hard, but I don't think so.
I can not try another 968, so can anyone help me.
Thanks in advance

My '95 968 has a hard clutch like you describe. I tried a fellow member's 968 and his was really soft, more like my BMW. He had just had a clutch job.
I asked my mechanic about this, here's what he said: "The grease hardens [somewhere??] and makes it hard to operate, not much to do put take it apart and put in new grease." That's probably why most people say that a clutch job solves the problem.
For me, I found a cheaper solution, I adjusted the spring at the top of the pedal and it really helped soften it up. Basically, you tighten the spring up there and it helps alleviate some effort on the pedal.
Anyway, as always, your mileage may vary...
