Cooling fan replacement
Has anyone here ever had to replace one of their radiator cooling fans? My understanding is that it is a relatively straightforward job - remove six bolts and they drop out from underneath the car. Anyone care to add any helpful advice? Thanks!

It was an easy job. Dropped the engine compartment cover and removed the air filter box. Six bolts free the fan assembly, and it drops out from underneath. (You may have to remove a couple of screws from a trim panel underneath it in order to get it by).
Assembly procedure is the reverse of the disassembly procedure. Two hours start to finish, and could have probably done in in one.
New fan was $170 from Zims. Paul Miller Porsche in Parsippany, NJ quoted $500 for the job including parts and labor.
