Inherited ‘94 968
Hi All - I inherited a ‘94 968 from my deceased father in law. He loved the car but when he got sick, the car fell into a bit of disrepair. I want to be able to restore it to its former glory but am definitely in over my head. There are a few things mechanical that need to be fixed (car needs a new battery for starters). Outside of the mechanical work, there is some cosmetic things that I need to fix. For example, the rear window spontaneously shattered while covered and some water got in. I’m in the Atlanta area so any help and guidance would be greatly appreciated

Welcome!
You're lucky in that there is a dismantler near by who can offer used parts and there are a few of us enthusiasts in the ATL.
BTW - if you list the year and the last 3 of the VIN, Sir Jeff can tell you about the options the car left the factory with. Looks like it came with 8 way power seat for the drivers side.

Depends...944 Barn is nearby up in Blairsville.
Then there is Plyhammers parts in Ohio and Just Joshin' parts in Maryland.
John Sheiry has been known to part a few 968s - he’s just outside DC.
No particular preference. All of these guys are standup kinda guys with reasonable (well, it is a Porsche) prices.
For a replacement rear hatch, I'd recommend reaching out to 944 Barn since they're closer and shipping would be astronomical....

From what I recall, my father in law used to take it down to a European Service Center Shop down on Roswell by Chastain. Is that a reputable place to get work done?

Sorry to hear about your FIL. I checked the VIN and it looks like the car was previously registered to the PCA 968 Register. Was your FIL Robert M.?
DM me your email address and i can send you his welcome letter with the production details.
