Thanks, Jeff. Car now has a red interior so the black has been redone. It looks a lot like the "special leathers" red on the registry interiors. Any chance Porsche would have not recorded the color correctly? I might be able to have the owner sent me the option codes from the trunk sticke.

I know the car. It was owned by Floyd in LA. He registered it just last year. Details below:
• NA 968 coupe 1992-1995 Production sequence number of 2,234: # 2,119
• NA 968 coupe 1995 Production sequence number of 259: # 144
• Exterior Color statistics: 1 of 548 G1 Guards red coupes (2nd most popular coupe color)
• Exterior/Interior Color combo stats: 1 of 313 G1 Guards red coupes paired with a black interior (2nd most popular coupe combo)
• Factory options with option codes:
o LT partial leather in black
o XD4 Painted crest center caps
o 437 Full power driver’s seat with 8 way adjustment
o 490 Hi-Fi sound with 10 speakers and Amps
o 692 CD-C1 6-disc remote CD changer
o 09991 Exclusive program, present because of XD4 option
• Comments: Your 968 has option code 718 which means it was originally built in the previous model year and then reVINed by Porsche to reflect the next model year. Your car was built in May of 1994 and reVINed to be a 1995.
