I cross posted this in the main water cooled forum with no results. I recently took my 968 to a highly recommended tint shop. The owner said he could not help me. The frit (black border) on the rear window is just painted on and he said it just turns to goo when it gets wet or will flake off later. There are parts where it has separated from the glass and is flaking. Can someone tell me if I all the rear hatch glass has the painted on frit or do some have the ceramic border? The small side windows have the ceramic border that modern cars have. I would really like to get the windows tinted so it is not such a greenhouse. Summer in Phoenix is nothing to take for granted. Anyone know of a shop in the Phoenix area that will do the work? I did offer to scrape the border off but he said there would be a gap between the frame and film. I'm fine with that as long as it is even. Thanks in advanced.
