Default #12 has lived a rough life...

Look what is up on eBay, the 12th 968 cab produced for the North American market, only 3 behind Minty on the production line. However, it looks like it has lived a hard life. The recessed badge hood is still with it.

#16 is going up for sale in a few weeks if anyone wants to hold out for a nicer recessed badge car.

The earliest 92 968s off the production line had a number of unusual features. The two most widely known for the Body are hoods that are stamped to hold the Porsche badge in a recessed fashion, similar to a new Cayenne. The early cars also have an slightly larger and edged rear 968 emblem. Both of these traits disappeared during November of 1991.

Yes, it's true. I just finished my degree and I'm headed out to San Rafel to look for a job. Unfortunately I can only take one P-car and the 951 is well on its way to being a track car. I'm getting the 968 ready for 944Fest next weekend(I know taking a 968 to 944Fest...951 isn't ready and it will be good advertisement for the 968). Give me a few years to get a place with a decent garage and I'll probably be back in a 968 again.

How have you been? Are you back in VA?

Take it easy.

Yeah finally back after nine months but its what I do. Doing great just tired. Bid and won a 968 coupe for the track but it is going to be too much work so I am parting it out soon. Need anything to finish out your cab? Congrats on the degree. San Rafel huh- nice place. Maybe I'll try to get to 944 fest, might be fun.

Cheers, Mike

968 prices have come back some, but I think $8800 is a little to optimistic.
