I think that for the Intercooler, the central vent works best given the direct air flow.

Where are the other owner's?

Why is there no one coming forward with information?

Is this such a secret that even Rennlist Members are not allowed?

This info was taken off the www.deutschnine.com site.

Intercooler air stream is completely separated from other air streams (hot air that has passed the intercooler does not get into the engine bay and allows both low intake air temperatures as well as low engine bay temperatures in general)
As the air is deflected upwards, the airstream through the intercooler creates additional downforce at higher speeds
Positioning of the air cooler allows very efficient intercooler ventilation and increases performance and durability of the engine
All in all, the 968 Turbo RS intercooler setup may be considered as one of the most efficient and innovative in the automotive industry.

In order to complement the additional need for cooling and intake air of the new racecar, the Porsche Motorsport department in Weissach implemented two so-called NACA ducts into the bonnet of the car.

Thanks Miles.

I still have to wonder about the exact measurements needed to properly modify the hood for these items.

I would also like to hear how the hood latch system has been modified to accommodate the intercooler.

Jay, I picked another stock hood latch and located them to the sides to fit the intercooler. I will take detailed pics and give you measurements this evening.
You can see one of the hood latches on the side in the picture.

I would like new headlights as below that were a direct swap out of the OEM, without fender modification.

Thanks Tate!

I'll keep an eye out for the info.

The headlights - what are they? I'm not familiar with them.

Default headlights

Those are 993 headlights , they will not fit whitout modifications to the fenders since the angle of the headlight is not the same in both the 968 and 993.I can be done but do not underestimate the amount of work.

Cool Give you 3 guesses what this might be for...

and the first 2 don't count.

By the way, if anyone has more direct information regarding the exact placement of the NACA and Intercooler ducts, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share the information with me. I thought I had finally located a source...but then silence...

Deutsche 9, when I last spoke to them a few months ago, said they would provide the information with their vents when purchased.

Perhaps ask for them nicely, even offer to pay? I know some places like to keep such things secret.

When I get around to doing my hood, will let you know if you don't beat me to it.

Yes, they've indicated the same to me in previous discussions.

On a semi-related note, I recently ordered an item from them. I received an unusual order confirmation informing me that another party would be fulfilling the order.

We'll see how this plays out...
