Default The most expensive car you've ever driven?

For me, it was a Ferrari 275 GTB/C. My dad had a client who had a nice car collection. I asked him to tell me what cars he owned-after I heard my dad say 'what's a Ford GT-40?' I was hooked. The client built warehouses in an industrial park (near the airport where JFJ jr flew out of on his fatal flight). So one Saturday we went to the warehouse and I saw two dozen great cars lined up-I asked the gent 'If I can identify every car can I pick one for myself?' BTW, I was in my twenties. He looked at my dad and said, 'I think he may know what he's doing.' First car was a Navy Blue Lambo-1965 I think. I noticed the rear seat was sideways, which indicated it was the first and only year so presented. So I said 'Lamborghini 350-GT pause V!' I flipped out the owner.

Only that first year was so named, it was changed to 350GT.
I'd rather have grabbed the 275GTB/C! I think they're all going for over a million dollars each.

oh, i drove the Ferrari 355 Spyder w/F1 tranny. The most fun i've ever had in a car. Almost bought it, until the dealer told me the engine/trans had to be dropped every 10k-15k miles for servicing, which was somewhere around 6k-7k. It would have been my only car, and it would have been the biggest mistake i'd ever made (up to that time!).....great, great car if you just drive it on the weekends....

Rode in: Porsche Carrera GT
Drove: Ferrari Testarossa - as a rental from the Hamburg Fuhlsbuttel (airport)! Me and a buddy chipped in and spent a glorious day driving from Hamburg to Hannover to Osnabruck to Bremen to Hamburg to Hannover to Osnabruck to Bremen to Hamburg to Hannover... well, you get the idea. I think the whole adventure cost us around $1,000 each with the mileage penalties. Worth every phennig!

I think they only made about a dozen lightweight racing 275 GTB/C's, and it was a blast. The most recent Cavallinno magazine says they run 3-3.5 million now . . .

A collector I know owns both a Ford GT and a Carrera GT. At a Porsche Club event I asked him which he preferred and he stunned me with the Ford GT. He said it was more fun, plain and simple.

Drove back an '08 S65 AMG from the dealer to the house with my father driving behind me. Drove like a saint most of the way home.. on the last stretch of expressway i put my foot to the floor to feel the power. 600bhp, 730ft-lbs of torque, 6.0L bi-turbo V12, all i gotta say is completley seamless power and hit 120mph pretty damn quick!

MSRP: $200k

RPM's........that is stunning, as some of the drivers of the 24 hour Le Mans pronounced the Carrera
GT "possibly one of the greatest cars ever built!).........

2004 911 GT3 RSR (passenger) Shelby Cobra (driver) - I think it was a 289. Not sure exactly what they're worth, but I've seen them go for a LOT at Barrett-Jackson. My Dad's 1949 MG TC might be worth a few $$ now, but I have no idea.
