968 turbo S does not have a DMF/Dual Mass flywheel. It has a solid flywheel and uses a sprung clutch disk. Very similar to 951 setup but with a stiffer pressure plate and a stronger disk.

Did you ever have the parts balanced after resurfacing..? In my days in the shop and dealing with aftermarket flywheels on my own car i learn to always send the rotating unit to the machine shop and have it all fully balanced before putting it in the car... a good shop will balance the flywheel first then balance the presure plate unit and then put it together with the clutch disc in it and balance the whole unit and mark it so that it can be installed "in balance"... just my thought from what ive read so far on this...

I did not do that, because I always thought that all machine shops balance everything they turn. Apparently that was naive. From now on I will make them balance everything.
