Thanks for the response.

I am intrigued with the setup. The appearance is stunning to say the least. If it could be made street legal and fully functional I would be most interested in adopting it to my 968 T project.

Regards-

It would be a lot of work to make these headlights streetlegal ,it think deutsche nine is developing such a kit .

I'm planning on building a spare body in the future, but unless I can find some lexan 993 lenses I will not use te same setup because they turned out rather heave for a race car .

Default 993 lenses

I have a set of 993 lexan lenses that were made by GT Racing that I am not going to use if you still need a set.

Default Deutsch Nine International fenders

Are you going to buy a set of the 968/993 fenders? I am going to buy a set and would like to put a group buy together to save on freight.

this thread is so inspiring, that earlier this morning, i had checked out a new set of 993 Xenon lamps without the ballasts on Ebay. 2 grand.... ballasts are another 300. i'm pretty set on just upgrading from the base, 4300k to 6000k low-beams for now... the thing that i can't understand, is how the 993 guys convert the regular halogen lamps to Xenon without dispersion issues...

as far as the D-9 fenders go, i love 'em, and i'd run them in a heartbeat, if it weren't that i'm building a car for 175 mph+. so i'm leaning towards taking a sawz-all and modding the (stock/steel) fenders, eliminating any possibility of them flying off the car during a high speed pass. i plan to use an epoxy and fiber mix to mold the lamps into place and probably leave the lower part of the cutout alone, and have a higher fender rise. the result will look more '993' rather than the D-9's or Filip's fender's appear, but, i'm fairly sure the result will be ok. i'm also hoping to have the front lip done in the next 4~6 weeks (finally).

so my next question would be, what about D-9 carbon fiber fenders?

or can i add 1 or even 2 layers of CF to the fenders including the fasteners without sacrificing too much on fitment? if so, then the answer is "yes," i'm very interested, but the thing is, i want to run the full-sized, HID lamps, which, likely will require running a higher profile fender in the first place... so i don't necessarily see myself as an ideal customer for Benji.

no she doesn't nor do i know her, but i'm lucky enough to have lived in Mazatlan Mexico for 9 years and from the late '90s, to the mid-2000s, which was for a gringo surfer boy, quite amazing... in the summer busloads of babes from Guadalajara would invade Mazatlan. more recently, a good friend Fernando Chacon' was running the Playboy house reality TV show in Puebla which was also quite interesting... interestingly, Fernando's father is the health minister for Mexico City and is rumoured to the PAN's selection for president when Calderon's term mercifully, ends. but, it's quite unlikely the PAN will retain the presidential seat.

the girl in my Avatar is Larissa Riquelme. i posted some pics of Larissa recently.
