The car came down from the lift, and the engine worked history to check everything and make the levels !!!

All you have to do is to make the wiring harnesses and connect the gearbox oil and engine oil temperature gauges to speed

The drain plug on the gearbox has been changed to accommodate the temperature sensor.

The return to home is near!

And here, the 968 is home! The list of works that remained to be done is closed !! On the gearbox side, the last control rod was mounted,

The set is not bad and a little rolling comforted me on the new precision of the shifting and the holding of the lever

The cooling coil seals changed.

New rear arm holding bolts with OEM parts
Before

After

The engine oil temperature gauges and gearbox are connected.

A little fun for a night! I joke, it is quickly more readable than the needle !!!

The plug / sensor, made especially, is superbly connected with a neat cable passage !!!

A final brake bleed was made after a short run in the company area.

Are beautiful these brakes !!!!! They even put BTR screws to hold the bowl instead of the cruciform screws a little damaged to their eyes !!

Rolling to bring the car in bodywork in order to make a few aesthetic occasions while awaiting a real relooking later.
Paint to protect kevlar carbon from UV which weaken it in the long run.
Before

After

The leakage of the waste gate had created overheating on the sheet metal with the passenger feet

Recovery of paint ...

The rupture of the pivot in Pau Arnos had left traces !!!

A little retouching ... in the meantime.

A beautiful spring day today !! The 968 has joined its lair and its protective cover. On the way, a final touch-up with the stickers with the laying of new regulations for the GT Classic and the withdrawal of the last pubs relating to the brand of tires.
It is Yokohama who will equip us all this season with a new team: Gbf Racing-Team. All the staff who worked on the car this month can be proud of the result .... Thank you Castellet Car Motorsport. Now it's up to the pilot to play !!! First rounds of wheels in 15 days ......... on Magny-Cours ... for taxiing ... taxiing.

Finally the long awaited US command has arrived! There are even small pots of ... cardan grease !!!

To the left, the standard löbro, and to the right the Lindsey which fits on a axle of greater diameter

The new belt for the oil pump is changed every season

The reinforced Löbros and the oil pump belt can be fitted just after the Magny-Cours meeting, as well as the check up before Le Castellet.

I was able to do a session as passenger on the 991 GT3RS of Nico !! What a car! Pure happiness on this circuit very fast or the 500cv could give the big thrill.

Monday: Magny-Cours 8h30 of the mat ...... departure for ... the house .... and 600km under the sun! Great; It rolled well and at 4pm we got back for the well deserved coffee / chocolate ...... and 1h afterwards everything was unloaded. And to say that all this material enters the captiva !!!!
[img] https://i58.servimg.com/u/f58/15/17/73/58/p3270010.jpg [/ img] [ / Url]

The car will stay on its trailer because Thursday it goes to Castellet Car Motorsport for its check up before Le Castellet and the first races. And then, it is easier to remove the traces of gum on the low parts (work for tomorrow !!!!)

And tomorrow morning we clean the wheels before disassembling the MSC2 to mount the Slicks that must arrive.

The Yoko "racing slick" arrived this morning !!!

As soon as they were put in place of the Sport Cup2 of which 3 are still usable !! (The left front did not support a wheel lock and ended up with a rather pronounced dish !!)

And the convoy is ready for tomorrow, direction Castellet Car Motorsport for the replacement of the gimbal and belts and the check up before the Historic Tour du Castellet ... in 9 days !!

108 CVs? Lindsey sells a nice fitting for an oil temp sensor that might engage a few more threads.

No 108°C but 98°C oil engine temp. For me it's a good result.

J-1, Chevrolet loaded, it's the start for the circuit of the Castellet, without the car !!! Because it is still at Castellet Car Motorsport which pampered it until the last moment !!!

15:00, We set up camp and there are already quite a few competitors,

Including some "GT Classic sizes" !!!

The administrative is done in the park of the Gt Classic !! Super, it avoids the expectations in the offices of HVM, and it is Mitch who manages all this masterfully.

Laying of the new sponsor stickers, mounting of the wheels for the free practice of tomorrow,

Installation of chronographs on the dashboard and steering wheel

And a few bonus in the paddock for reunion !!! 19h00, we return ... to the house (15mn of the circuit !!) for a well deserved rest. Tomorrow, relax because there is only the free practice, the briefing and the cocktail of the Gt Classic .... and all this from 1:30 pm .......

J 0 !! The first rounds in free practice this Friday at 13:30. For these tests, I chose to put the wheels equipped with Sport Cup and keep the "slicks" for the qualifying tests of tomorrow. The car slipped quite a bit, and I always stayed "within". On reading the times, with 2'40 "051, the hierarchy of the classes is respected and I find myself 2nd of the GTC3 to 2" of FAURIE who was in "slicks", but who had to keep under the feet anyway! ! Some had not switched on their transponder, so nothing was established.

The wheels with the "new stiff" slicks are mounted, and the crankshafts hardened by 2 notches at the front (FD-7/30) and 5 at the rear (FD-12/50).
The onboard chronographs worked, in short, everything is fine. The 968 works wonderfully although we already have 3 competitors with problems of gearbox, engine and exhaust !!!!

Tomorrow, starting at 9:30 the qualifications will be finished and we will see more clear for the race of 13:50 !!!!!!
