Yes, I drove around there on a track day many years ago in a Mini Cooper. To give an idea how long ago I was almost run over while walking in the paddock by Rob Slotemaker in a 906 or an 908. I can't recall which because I was in a bit of hurry.

Zandvoort is an outstanding road course though, winding through the dunes. I'll find some old pics and send them if you like.

That must have been a long time ago since Rob Slotemaker was killed in a crash @ Zandvoort in 1979!I would love to see some pictures of that era Jim.

That's cool, thanks for sharing.

What's with 1 series BMW being on that front row of the grid, are they that quick!

I raced one a few years ago 135i but it wasnt gt3 cup quick?

According to the Wiki page [ http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dutch_W...durance_Series ], the classes are broken down as follows:

Division I: Touring Cars and GT cars with engine capacity 3000cc and above
Division II: Touring Cars and GT cars with engine capacity 2000cc to 3000cc
Division III: Touring Cars and GT cars with engine capacity 1600cc to 2000cc
Division IV: Touring cars with Diesel engines

He was the only cup car there so, I'm guessing the two BMWs fall right behind him in Division I.

Edit:

I put together some clips from the event (sorry about the quality):

I found a new challenge in this 996 with 993GT2 drivetrain. Downside is that the 968 has to go since I do not have the space, time and recources to run/own 2 racecars .Fortunatly I found a good home for the 968 and I will be able to see here again .

That's the same car that used to run with Hans B. What is the 951 next to it?

Sorry to see you have to sell the 968 after such an amazing build. Best of luck on the next adventure!!
