XPost - Any Red Flags with Cabs?
 

Hi all,

I'm a 968 coupe owner and a friend is thinking of buying a 968 cabriolet. I've had great service from my 968, but are there any known issues that are specific to the cab that he should look out for? Roof mechanism? Rear window issues? leakage?

not any more than any other cab really

just make sure to check it out and listen for odd noises and such - and look for wear marks in the top that would be weak points,just like you would with any other power top

popped frame bows are expensive - tops are not - here in california, full replacement can be had at about $1000 at your local upholstery shop

Just be careful the first time you enter a cab; the rake of the windshield is more angled, and I almost popped out a eye on the top frame corner coming from my old coupe.
