Adjusting alternator belt

Don't forget to lossen the bolts for the AC pump, If the pump bolts have been tightned and you try adjusting the belt too much you can break the mounting lug off the rear of the pump.

Note that this also applies to the power steering pump. There is a bolt on the back side and a nut on the front side of the pump that should be loosened prior to adjusting the belt tension. And be sure to retighten these after the belt tension is set and jam nuts tightened.
