Battery Drain
Dear "931Guru":
I want to sincerely thank you for posting the link to the 968 wiring diagrams. I was able to print the diagrams, however, the typeface is too small to read, at least with my eyes.
Is there anyway to print out the diagrams with a much larger typeface/font so that they may be more easily read?
The only other issue now is finding someone, hopefully in the Los Angeles/Southern California area, that can solve my electrical issues, utilizing the wiring diagrams you kindly provided.
Any assistance with how to print out the electrical diagrams in an enlarged/legible size AND/OR any recommendation for someone with expertise in the LA area that can resolve my 968 electrical issues would be greatly appreciated.

I have uploaded the wiring diagrams for the 93 968 here:

I will leave them there for a week, until you can dowload them. They are not for the 95, but there would be almost no changes in the wiring.
Good luck.

I had a similar issue with my truck a while back, it in my case it turned out being the radio. It's already been noted that one issue is if the drain is not always there it can be very hard to location. For me in this particular case it was a constant drain. The way I located it was to use my VOM in current mode, in series with the battery connection, and removed fuses one by one until and noted any that dropped the current. Just don't try starting the car with the meter in series that will be way too much current and most likely fry your meter. Won't necessarily work for you, especially if the issue is intermittent, but it was an easy test you might try to see if you can narrow it down.
One more item in the category of "switch": my 1992 968 was draining due to the ignition switch not fully closing in the off position. The shop I work with traced it down and they were able to repair it w/o replacing the switch. I'm not certain what they did, but it must have been quick and easy as they didn't put it on the shop notes or charge me for it.

When I first got my car, the under hood light and glovebox light were draws that would drain the battery in a week or less.
Now I have no under hood light and the bulb of my glovebox light is disconnected.

On my 1992 968 it turned out to be the alternator, probably a diode. You could try disconnecting the alternator if nothing else seems to work.
