True 95 Coupe w/M030 & 220!!

Just by chance ran across a black 968 Coupe today. When investigating further, it was revealed to be a 20k mile original car that was within the last ten cars built. M030 and 220 option codes - but no sport seats. Unfortunately car is not for sale at the moment, but just curious what the consensus on value would be on this "best spec and one of last 968's" --- excluding of course 968 CS M030's and 968 Turbo S/RS, etc.

This car would have great value to a collector. Depends on what other options are on the car. Black is pretty boring and VERY common.
For somebody who is looking for a driver, I would guess $35-45, minus ALL the deferred maintenance which could add up to $15K.

SS820311? A speed yellow (much more desirable color) 968 M030 with only 9k miles sold last year in the sixties. I would say that puts this car in the low/mid-fifties. But who knows what it will be worth next year?

HI Jeff, I'm curious to know how may coupes have the 220 option and how many Black coupes have the 220 option?

Thanks,
Pete

Hi Pete,

I know you asked me that question before.
The first answer I have: 2,234 NA coupes, 1,811 of those coupes are 6 speeds, 584 of those have 220 Limited slip. (32%)
I didn't put a query together in my database for how many of the 584 are black so I would have to build that. I will one of these days.
Jeff

Here- https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds...8/2017537.html
they say "Only 365 Built in Last Year 1995, Only 150 were Coupes, Only 24 were Black."

Don't know if it is true?

Nope, the actual numbers are:

565 North American 968s for model year 1995 (coupes and cabs)
259 968 coupes for model year 1995
77 Black 968 coupes for model year 1995

You should ask him where he gets his numbers :) Clearly not from the PCA 968 register.

This is why you get the bestowed honorary title of Sir Jeff. :)

our 968 M030

Hi All,

I am new to the forum and wanted to share with all of you that we have a 1994, Guards Red, Black Interior 968 with the M030 and 220 Sport Seat options! It is a very original car in excellent condition, original paint, interior, and the only thing changed has been the stereo, but we still have the original
Blaupunkt that came in the car!

Its been fun to get up to speed with everyone out there and learn more about our car and really how unique it is! Would love to hear some feedback on it! I've uploaded some pics including the option list!

Thanks, John

Hi!

I'm new to the forum, but wanted to share with this group that we have a Guards Red 1994 968 with both the M030 option and the 220 Black sport seats! The car is in excellent original condition with 77k miles on it. I will work on trying to post a couple of pictures and will be interested to hear some feedback!

Thanks,
John

Beautiful John. Of the 99 M030s, only 21 were red.

Ok, so now that brings to mind the following question-

What is the break down of M030s from a color spectrum?

And now I see the question answered on your website - http://968register.org/optionalequipment/m030/

pete968/928 02-06-2019 09:39 AM

And I'm curios about the break down of 220s from the color spectrum by type (coupe/cab).
