Fuel injectors?
Will these work in my 92?

My understanding it the 968 ones are pretty rare. I think I had witchunter do mine, have to find the receipts if you are interested. Under 100 bux if I recall.

Seems the OEM injector have an impedance of 3.something Ohms. Those listed have an impedance of 14 Ohms.
Not sure if the OEM ECU can adjust. Supposedly aftermarket ECU's can.
Also. it seems consistent feel delivery across all 4 cylinders is just as important as amount of fuel delivery.
As Toureg mentioned, why not just get them rebuilt and flow matched?

In my 92 I run Volvo S60/XC90/etc. injectors, Bosch part number 0 280 155 831 ( 0280155831 ) which are about 32 pound per hour at 3.8 BAR (often listed as 30 lb/hr which I believe is at 3 BAR). These injectors also have the correct groove for the retaining clip. Straight up install, no problems. I got some off ebay, cleaned and backflushed them and tossed them in. $40 for 5 of them off ebay,

0280155831 injectors will run lean. I tried some on the track and the car overheated after about two laps. 9186060 have the correct groove and will have enough flow - might be too rich for street a car. I bought a used set but have not tested them yet.

Please test them! They have a 10% high flow rate that OEM.

I have not had a problem with the 831 injectors and I would doubt the maps cannot correct for a small difference in flow. If we are running E10 fuel and the stockers were designed for E0 then maybe we are already leaned down 5% on the stock injectors though. I am at altitude and should have a lot of headroom in the fuel maps. Last winter when I did maintenance my plugs showed rich, so I replaced them and the O2 sensor but as it is the 0280155831 are not running lean in my application. I will check again this winter to see how the new plugs look with the new O2.
I picked out these injectors based on Stan Weiss' injector data table and that showed the Volvo 31.8 lb/hr vs. 32.5 lb/hr for the 968 (2% difference). The other specs are also very similar. I'd suspect another issue for the overheating problem. Air leak or problems with specific injector(s). It's possible the EV6s do not flow like-for-like also in the 968. But no problems on my end. I'll let you know if the plugs still show more rich than I like now that I have replaced the O2 sensor.

I still have this rough idle driving me crazy this would be another link in the chain I could rule out plus I figure the originals must be gunked up after all of these years.

Ultimately, I think you need a custom tune when you move to non-OEM injectors.

I have a wideband I could put on the black 968 but so far I have no outward signs of running lean, actually the opposite but my O2 sensor was pretty old. In your case I am thinking you had issues with one or more of the particular injectors you installed. Myself and others have done a lot of these injector swaps on the 928S4s as well without issues.
If you are in closed-loop it should correct for small injector differences, (e.g. somewhat clogged or gummy OEM injectors) as well as differences in fuel energy content due to the local blend, water contamination, etc. WOT Open loop should also be trimmed, if for some reason that does not follow suit there should be indications that it's running lean. With my long history of tuned and modded blown and turbocharged cars I am always on alert for the indications of the car getting thin.
I will keep an eye out though. If it's lean enough at WOT to cause overheating I should be able to see that even on a narrowband. I've also been thinking of getting a thermal imaging camera to look at exhaust plumes (among other things) so maybe I will expedite that.
