Based on your description I'll venture a value of $5-6K.

It is a buyer beware market. I'd ask $8900 and let them make offers based on the appearance. It sound like it's mechanically better than it's appearance now. No need to mention the junk yard, just that it sat outside when it was between owners for many years. If you can't get $5k, may as well keep it, even with all your other projects.
