Talking In Need Of A 968

ahh i really want to get back into a 968 again. I'll have about $11,000 to spend on one, doubt i can get one for that price. I've been looking at 944 turbos, but just doesn't compare to the 968. Any help would be great thanks.

You should be able to find an older coupe ~ 100K miles for that much $.

If that is your budget, I'd be looking for 944S2's. You'll get a lot nicer car for the money.

I've seen fixer-uppers go for less than $10K (there's a true fixer-upper going on evilBay for $7.5K right now!) -- but then after you fix it up, it'll certainly cost more than $11K...

How about a 944 Turbo?

$11K should get you one.

968...I don't think so.

I think a 11K 951 will be a lot more expensive to run than an 11K S2-I think Cantal wants this car a steppingstone back into a real nice 968-the 951 will nickel and dime him to death, plus he'll be tempted by the go faster stuff you can put on a 951 . . .

Damian, a well maintained 951 can be very reliable. The problems occur when people try to extract more out of it and mix and match parts from different vendors and try to push the envelope. I myself am guilty of that at times but am willing to pay the price for it.
That said, you can find an extremely well maintained 951 for that price with all records and services in place.

There's a early model with the recessed hood badge for sale in KC. Midnight Blue w/ Cashmere.

120K miles - $12.5K.

No affiliation - just passing it on.

(edit) Oops...forgot to mention seller is a rennlist member - ad on the email page as follows-

Hello all, It's been months since I have been on this list. I'm selling my
1992 968 coupe 6sp 120K for $12.5. Please call me at home. 913-788-0007.
I'm up until 11pm each night. Kansas City time.
I have plenty of pics.

Please Note: I will NOT answer any emails. Please call. I hate writting
emails. To time consuming. If you are worried about long distant calls, I
will call you on my dime. I have plenty of money;-)

No lowballing!!!!!!!!

Thanks in advance, Rudy Rodriguez

There's a 180k mile coupe on autotrader at 8.5k right now. There's another at 9.5k. 11k would buy you an amazing 951 with the present market.

Best wishes,
Sach
